Volta Networks is changing the way routers are built by taking advantage of the cloud and combining it with low cost, high performance switch hardware known as white box switches. By combining a highly available and scalable control plane running in the cloud with a variety of white label switches, Volta is achieving unprecedented cost savings while enhancing the levels of robustness, availability and scalability that mission-critical networking systems require. Volta is also taking a programmatic and service-oriented approach to network management with a vision of achieving full autonomic networking.

At Volta, we are always looking for bright and curious engineers with interest and experience in software development, APIs, distributed systems, IP networking, and that enjoy creating disruptive products using open technologies. If you do not have experience but you are extremely good at coding, we would like to hear from you too.

Volta is a start-up headquartered in Boston with engineering office in Barcelona, founded and funded by IP networking veterans. For engineering positions, this is a rare opportunity to work in beautiful sunny Barcelona while still being part of the US start-up ecosystem with global impact. For the right candidates, working remotely is an option.

Volta Barcelona offers a comfortable, centrally-located office with excellent access to public transportation, flexible job schedule, 3 days-a-week lunch and attractive compensation including competitive salary and stock options.
